Microsoft’s iPod Killer, The Zune

After a couple months of plenty of rumors and spy shots about Microsoft’s take on an iPod-killer, they have officially announced their answer and its name is Zune. The iPod rival features music and video playback, 30GB of storage, Wi-Fi, a built-in FM tuner and a 3-inch color screen. The Zune will come in three colors — black, brown and white. The killer feature which may actually see The Zune blow the iPod out of the water is the ability to wireless share music with other Zune users, who can then listen to that song three times and then you will be required to purchase it. Obviously a feature to keep the RIAA off of Microsoft’s case, but like with everything else Microsoft there will be an army of crackers that will most likely crack this 3x play feature pretty quickly.

As much as I and everyone else likes to hate on Microsoft, The Zune seems like a revolutionary player unlike the latest iPods that were just announced.
