Winemaking Goes High-Tech

Winemaking is a process steep in tradition, so when I found out about the WinePod the high-tech way to make wine I was a bit thrown off, thinking what kind of winemaker would buy this thing. But what do I know because I’ve never brewed any of that stuff either. Then it hit me, the WinePod is for people like me who want an easy way into winemaking and don’t want to bother with the messy process.

The WinePod is basically a huge aluminum vessel with an automatic grape presser inside. The machine interfaces with your computer thanks to the built in wifi to monitor things like pH level, temperature, and sugar levels. And then the software will ask you basic questions and guide you on what you should do next - how easy is that!

And just to prove that I was initially wrong about the WinePod, it has been a huge hit and they can’t make them fast enough. New customers are still on a waiting list until April 2007.
