All environmentalist may not want to read the following about a disposable cellphone batteries (think of the children). The concept of selling packaged power to run electronic devices is as old as batteries, but it steps onto new ground with the Mobcharger disposable cell phone battery charger. Although not yet available, and aimed at the EU market anyway, the charger will juice your cell phone for up to 90 minutes (480 of standby) without actually recharging the battery, you need to keep it plugged in for the phone work. Still, the options in an emergency sound appealing (even if the waste issue sounds bothersome).
Dozens of models are available from five manufacturers, but no pricing or availability info is available just yet.

Big Announcements From Apple Today
Posted by Duch | 11:14 am
I guess cornering the online music distribution and animation market is not enough for Steve Jobs. Rumor has it, well it’s pretty much a done deal that Apple will be announcing later today the availability of full length movies on iTunes (maybe they should change the name now). They even shutdown iTunes temporarily today, a possible hint that the rumors are true. Current reports are saying that only Disney and Pixar movies will be available to download. But I’m sure movies through iTunes will be a hit and other studios will be forced to jump onboard, like some reluctant labels and artists were when iTunes first appeared.
To support movie viewing on your iPod, rumor has it that Apple will also be announcing several new iPods. One of them to have a widescreen that is touch sensitive and bluetooth support.
Looks like another reason to upgrade … why am I such a sucker for these things?
